Deryck Whibley, also known as "bizzy d" grew up in a variety of different settings. he was a "WRFA"(world recess fighting assosciation) member who fought for money at recess. He "retired at the "tender" age of eleven. he then moved to Keane. this place was a small farming town filled with fishers, rod stewart albums, and, well, farms!

Realizing that his life was boring, deryck and his mother picked up and moved to Ajax. Soon after, deryck bought his first guitar. then it started. song lyrics and ideas started to flow like urine from a bed wetter. former bands of this man are: Eternal Death, keanes unbeatable teens, and Final Notice. And finally, he met steve, a drummer of ajax. in the summer of '96, on the 41st day, Steve and Deryck formed "sum""41".
